Our drivers — heavy goods vehicle drivers, light vehicle drivers, bus drivers, and machinery operators — work across all sectors related to road transport or passenger transport, whether for own-account or third-party operations.
We provide drivers for various types of transport: general goods, refrigerated transport, dump trucks, construction (BTP), and passenger transport.
Main Responsibilities
The heavy goods vehicle (HGV) driver operates a vehicle with a GVW of more than 3.5 tonnes.
The light vehicle driver operates a vehicle with a GVW of less than 3.5 tonnes.
Drivers may operate on regional, national, or even international routes, and may be required to stay overnight away from home on a regular basis.
Their duties include:
- Managing administrative tasks related to transport: delivery notes, circulation authorizations, product specifications, delivery reports, incident reports, etc.
- Transporting hazardous or non-hazardous goods from one point to another under optimal safety and efficiency conditions.
- Ensuring periodic technical checks of the vehicle (maintenance, technical inspections).
- Reviewing and complying with prevention plans of the companies visited (pick-up or delivery sites).
- Reporting any malfunction or non-compliance of the vehicle.
Core Skills
This position is generally accessible with a Level V qualification (CAP or BEP in road transport) or through a professional certificate validating previous experience in the sector.
A B, C, or CE driving licence is required depending on the vehicle.
An initial and ongoing training course, validated by a certificate, is mandatory for the transport of hazardous materials and must be renewed periodically.
The employee must also meet the medical fitness requirements for driving.
