Assistant Mover

Carries out the moving of material goods (furniture, appliances, objects, machines, etc.) from one location to another, on behalf of a client.

Job Description

MAIN MISSION
Carry out the relocation of material goods (furniture, appliances, objects, machines, etc.) from one location to another on behalf of a client.

Perform all or part of the handling operations, including:

  • Packing/unpacking
  • Assembly/disassembly
  • Protection of items
  • Loading/unloading the vehicle
  • Reinstallation in the new premises

These tasks must be performed in compliance with safety regulations, following set instructions and ensuring customer satisfaction in terms of quality and deadlines.

May drive the moving vehicle.
May coordinate a team’s activities and oversee moving operations.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job is carried out within moving companies, industrial transfer services, or storage facilities, in direct contact with clients (individuals, businesses, administrations, etc.).

  • It may require multi-day trips (national travel).
  • Work may take place on weekends, public holidays, or at night.
  • The role involves repetitive lifting of heavy and bulky loads.

Required Skills

  • Assess the items to be moved and report any anomalies to the client.
  • Pack items according to their characteristics and transportation requirements.
  • Disassemble equipment when necessary.
  • Select and load moving materials based on the order.
  • Move heavy loads safely.
  • Arrange moved items in a vehicle or container.
  • Install equipment at the new location.
  • Unpack and organize boxes.

Salary: €10.00 to €12.00 per hour
